Katy Perry is new face and partner of “Popchips” snack

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Pop star Katy Perry is the new face and partner of “popchips” snack, the company announced Wednesday.

According the a press release, “Katy Perry, global pop superstar and long-time fan of the brand, has joined “popchips” as an investor and ambassador that will include being featured in the company’s first national advertising campaign launching this fall.”

The “Part of Me” star described how her bond with the snack started. She said, “I remember it was late at night, and I was craving a midnight snack without the guilt. The bag stood out in the mini bar, and I was pleasantly surprised when I read the back of the label and saw that it was a healthier choice. I was hooked after my first bite! When I discover something good, I want to share it with everyone I know, so I tweeted about it; “popchips” came to me, and I’ve decided to invest in “popchips” and join the team as a creative partner!”

Meanwhile, Keith Billing, co-founder and chief executive officer of “popchips” said, “We’re thrilled to have one of the music industry’s most creative, charismatic and driven stars join the “popchips” team. Her personality and passion are a fantastic fit for the brand, and we look forward to working together to take our brand to the next level.”

The 27-year-old pop star takes the place of former “popchips” ambassador Ashton Kutcher.
