Re-heated: Canadians Bash Bosh Anew Over Comments About Cable TV

AHN Sports Staff

Toronto, ON, Canada (AHN) – Canadian sports fans hit former Toronto Raptors stalwart Chris Bosh anew this week, following the all-star forward’s comments regarding what he considers Canada’s inferior cable-TV lineup.

Among other things, Bosh claimed he didn’t have access to all NBA games as he would in the states.

Market Watch writer Bill Mann called Bosh’s comments silly and laughable, claiming the former Raptors star could have availed himself of NBA League Pass with just a phone call.

In a recent interview, Bosh stated one of the reasons behind his decision to leave Toronto for Miami was the difficulty to subscribe to the service that offers wide coverage of NBA games, in the Canadian city.

However, Raptors coach Jay Triano found Bosh’s bad cable comment amusing.

“We should have informed him that he could have got (League Pass),” Triano told Toronto Star in jest. “I don’t remember one day when he came into practice and said he was mad because he didn’t have good cable.”

Bosh, who joined LeBron James and Dwyane Wade in Miami in the offseason, is enjoying extensive national TV exposure, as the Heat continues to be in the spotlight though the first three weeks of the regular season.

The Heat have had mixed results in the standings, however, going 5-4 after losing to the upstart Jazz.

Mann added Bosh might be enjoying better TV “reception” in Miami, but he thinks a stint on South Beach doesn’t bode well for the 6-foot-11 forward.

Some are even whispering the Heat should consider trading Bosh before jeopardizing their season.

Bosh, averaging 14.8 points and 6 boards, is still struggling to find his rhythm with the Heat after posting 20 point-10 board figures in three of his last four years in Toronto.

Nevertheless, Bosh is optimistic he can regain his All Star form in Florida.

He can also take out some frustration on his former club when the Raptors visit Miami Saturday night.

Chances are Bosh will have his DVR set for the tilt.
