U.S. stocks little changed Monday after Friday’s steep drop

U.S. markets opened little changed Monday following a nearly 275-point drop Friday that wiped out all of the Dow’s gains for the year. Just after the opening bell on Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 21 points, the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index added 3 points and the NASDAQ tacked on 20.
